From the Marananga sub region of the Barossa Valley, produced from 50 year old , dry grown vines. Matured in French and American oak for around 20 months. Screwcap. Deep crimson, very dark colour , purple rim. A nose of dark berry fruits and chocolate / tobacco. Full bodied, well balanced, fine soft tannins, good length. Wood spice and vanilla undertones. Should have good cellaring potential.
