It’s a good thing that you get the opportunity to try Johnnie Walker Green Label, as the distillery gave it the ax nearly five years ago. The company itself wasn’t quite sure when it would return, but its inclusion is a godsend. Crack open a bottle and pour in a rocks glass to get the rich fullness of its nose. It has notes of espresso, chocolate and oak finished by a smoky aroma. A taste of the libation reveals coffee, vanilla, malt, chocolate and walnut. It almost sounds like your favorite morning beverage, but perhaps sipping Johnnie Walker Green Label in the A.M. is too bold a move. Instead, sip it after work on the rocks, neat or with just a bit of water.
